The The Episcopal University South Sudan has officially launched a new Digital Learning Initiative aimed at improving access to educational resources and strengthening technology-driven learning across its campuses.
The initiative introduces modern e-learning platforms, upgraded computer laboratories, high-speed internet access, and digital research tools to support both students and lecturers. University leadership says the project is part of a broader vision to prepare graduates for a rapidly evolving global workforce.
Speaking during the launch ceremony, university officials emphasized the importance of innovation in higher education and highlighted the role technology plays in expanding academic opportunities for young people in South Sudan.
“This initiative represents our commitment to academic excellence and modern education,” said one of the university administrators during the event. “We want our students to compete confidently both regionally and internationally.”
Students welcomed the development, noting that improved access to online materials, virtual learning systems, and research databases will significantly enhance their studies and academic performance.
The university also announced plans to introduce short professional courses in Information Technology, Digital Entrepreneurship, and Data Management as part of the new program.
The Digital Learning Initiative is expected to benefit thousands of students and staff while strengthening the university’s reputation as one of the growing centers of higher education in South Sudan.
